Personality.

Paranoid - Dramatic - Impatient - Intelligent - Unpredictable - Practical - Oddball

O'neal is very suspicious of other horses. It takes a long-lasting, strong bond to help her realize that maybe not everyone is out to get her. However it surely takes a certain kind of equine to learn to deal with O'neal's oddball brand of...doing things. She is bombastic and more than outspoken even on the tiniest of jobs. It's always humorous to watch from a safe distance though. If work isn't getting done fast enough then O'neal is not satisfied. She lacks the ability to take her time on most things and expects the same harsh efficiency from others. It's a wonder why no one can work with her but O'neal will be the one who will get the job done the quickest and still have great results.

Though she is naive towards lifestyles outside of the one she's grown up in, O'neal is very well read. Knowledgeable in higher education topics while also showing a diverse vocabulary. Though well versed in the fundamentals of art, it's also the one trade she cannot master. To her dismay.

No horse ever knows how a day in the life of O'neal will go. Whatever tickles her fancy (or situation she's dragged into) O'neal is unpredictable and spastic in her actions. This often gets O'neal accidentally involved in many dangerous, dumb, or inconvenient situations. (Though in some cases it also gets her out of said situations.) O'neal holds logic, reason, and objectivity over all else; including emotions. It makes her come off as insensitive but that isn't the case. She just wants to get what needs to get done, well, done.

History.

O'neal's life was normal, simple, and ununique. Nothing more, nothing less. She came from a firmly established, merchant family. Well off from a vineyard of the popular wine brand, Griffin's Blood, trendy among the nobles and royals alike. Expensive in taste and aroma, much like her parents' own desires. They always lived with the finer things; extravagant house, expensive slaves, luxury clothes. All normal to little O'neal and for a wealthy family. Yet with wealth comes much freetime and children. With many children comes more competition to work against. O'neal being the 14th born, wouldn't get much to her name once her elderly parents passed away. That fact mattered little to the kiddo. She found comfort with her passions and books. A thirst for knowledge so insatiable O'neal stayed awake many nights reading every piece of literature available. When she was little, still bright eyed and bushy tailed, all O'neal wanted was to be an Architect. Architecture, famous in Aodh as a luxury, captured the young foal's attention early in life. She always strived to become an Architect but she was never able to grasp the standards her parents deemed best for that profession. Persuaded by her parent's influence, she practiced more practical trades for a destined commoner. Aodh only seen it's citizens as a faceless crowd, dreams matter little in this game capital gain.

O'neal turned 16, after years of sneaking lessons of architecture had her parents had enough. Seen as a hindrance on her smithing classes, she was swiftly kicked out for disobedience. Not a penny to her name or an income to live on. Her parents told her siblings she had grown and flown the nest. Just like other siblings before her. Only now did she see the lie for what it was. The vineyard family only needed but one or two heirs to their business! The rest proved to be just leeches to the accounts. So O'neal accepted the ugly lie then moved on. Only keeping her passion for artistic endeavors and lessons learned close to her.

Years went by. O'neal only managing to eat through the occasional odd job or charity of the sanctums. She tried many times to break into the architecture trade. Something was always off with her projects, without formal education. Though love for creative arts burned brightly in the youth, she was never good enough to break into the business. No one wanted to contract her when there were better horses for the job out there.

Once the zonkey turned 18, she managed to land a job working with a local blacksmith because of her fundamental skills on the trade. Smithing came so easy for O'neal and before long she was selling more weapons than her own master! More and more horses ordered from O'neal for ornate and intricate blades or bows or anything one could think up.

But even still, it didn't make her happy. Now at 20 years of age, this isn't what she wanted to do but she is good at it. What else can she be? When bills need to be paid and dreams can't cover for food. Maybe it's better this way, playing it safe? You can't fail if you don't try.

-O'neal comes from a long line of O'neals. It's strange how strikingly similar each O'neal is in appearance. It's a family tradition that each new generation that carries the trademark look be named O'neal. Current O'neal gets gawked that when passing by ancient murals or paintings when one of her ancestors is present in the piece. Some joke that the zonkey is immortal because of that.
